Dr. Ceurvels has been a long time Florida resident. He moved to Southwest Florida in 1995 from Ithaca, New York. He attended Bishop Verot High School and participated in Football, Track and Field. It was at this time that he started to develop a passion for exercise and therapeutic approaches to health care. Dr. Ceurvels graduated from the University of South Florida in 2004. After shadowing multiple health care professions he became impressed with the Chiropractic approach. He was intrigued how much of a positive difference Chiropractors seemed to make in their patient’s pain level even after one treatment. On top of that, the patients seemed to enjoy coming in for treatment which was rare to see in the health care professions. He then made the easy decision to become a Chiropractor. Dr Ceurvels attended Palmer College and graduated in 2009 as a Chiropractic Physician. He then moved back to Southwest Florida to be close to his family and begin his career. For his first four years of his practice he worked closely with the senior population taking on many of the problems that age can cause, especially arthritis. Around five years ago Dr. Ceurvels married his wife and became a father of two wonderful daughters. Around this time the focus of his practice life changed. He began to take an interest in caring for motor vehicle crash victims. Since then he has taken multiple courses in whiplash trauma and motor vehicle crashes in order to further his understanding of these types of injuries. Dr. Ceurvels currently puts his skills and training to good use by helping injured patients in the Fort Myers location of Specific Care Chiropractic. He is passionate, caring and loves assisting people in their journey towards reaching their full health potential. Additionally, he is thankful to be surrounded by a kind and caring staff that enjoys making all his patient’s feel like family.
